This is not a post about the new movie! Instead, I was listening to NPR the other day and a guy was on sharing how the Star Wars movies bring all of us together when at the end of his little spiel it was mentioned that he was qualified to discuss this matter b/c he had created an album called _Star Wars Breakbeats_. I remember this album had quite some good press a few months ago and was wondering if this was merited. And since I haven't heard it I was hoping someone would post me a review ... Thanks. I seem to recall reading about him in the recent frenzy... wasn't he the guy who played Boba Fett, and didn't he like write a book of Star Wars poems? Pretty pathetic dickweed, if you ask me.

It was a good concept, but the samples are WAY too repetitive. If the guy cut up the samples on some turntables, it might have been a phenomenal album. Still, I like to listen to it every once in a while, bbecause the beats are pretty good. -Ma'er...

i was driving to see Episode 1 (only to see Natalie Portman mind you, and a double-dose for that matter) last tues when my friend took out my blech tape and popped in what you are talking about. sounded like complete crap to me. standard, over-looped breakbeat with poorly and over-used random samples from the movies. is this a canadian production by the way? tomas
