Heh. Actually, you probably don't, since my REAL job is as a systems analyst, and I'm currently up to my eyeballs in 15-20 year old COBOL code that has to be made Y2K compliant. Argh. If it wasn't for my sideline "jobs" as DJ, radio guy and music writer, I'd probably fucking lose it. ALthough they can often be nearly as stressful, so... Anyway, Andrew already provided the track list. I'll just add that Mr. Porcini himself came down to my show last night and despite being very ill with a flu bug, he was a really nice fella. Did a short interview type thing and played some cuts from the record. I'll transcribe the interview for the website sometime soonish. Also got a really, really advance CD-R of some cuts from the Herbaliser album due out in the spring. Just gave it a quick listen on the way to work this morning, and it sounds pretty dope. Greg

Chris: ya, forgot to mention this earlier: as greg says, most of us writers/radio/dj people have "real" jobs (i.e. jobs that pay the bills to allow us to do the writing/radio/djing). it's always been sort of a private joke between myself and greg and others that write about how "glamourous" this writing is ;) to put it simply: yes, we are lucky and happy to get a lot of promos thrown at us, but it sure ain't glamorous, chris. believe me. nothing like editors screaming "duke, your column is late, where the $%# is it?" while your "real" job is on the other line going "duke, we absolutely have to have you come in and work a double shift today, i know it's your day off, but..." etc. wouldn't stop writing for the world, but hell, it sure ain't glamourous :) Andrew Greg Clow wrote:
