Went to the Suction show last night figuring that it was just like a
regular event (eg. DJ spins at 9 or 10pm till midnight or 1am and then the
headliner goes on). So me and my friend got to the show at around
midnight, and to our surprise, everyone was standing outside the stage
area. Then one of my friend asked someone 'Why's everyone outside, when
the show in there?' 'Don't you know, the show just ended.'. Just my luck,
not only did I waste $8, but dragged my friends down for nothing. On my
way out I did pick up the new Lowfish album. Been listening to it all day
today and it is quite impressive. I'm not good with reviews, so I won't do
one, but I'd give this album a 9/10. Definitely worth checking out. Now
I'm kicking myself for not showing up earlier :( Anyways, also forward to
the upcoming Legion of Green Men show with Ekko in Toronto. I think its a
cd release party, and Greg Clow's site says they'll be selling both artists
cd as a double cd for $15 which is an bargain for anyone whose showing up.
Ok, think I'm done complaining, nice to see Canadian acts being reconized
on the list. Later.
