I heard a track last night (at the CMJ thing, after Poopy left) that
had rapping verses and a sung chorus. All sounded vocoded, but the
rap was so uniform in pitch and tempo that it sounded more like it
came out of an old TTS program than a vocoder. The chorus was melodic
and the timbre of the vocoding (if I can say such a thing) reminded me
of "Are We Not Men Who Live and Die."
Since the new Cylob is rumored to have rapping on it, and since it's
supposed to be called "Rewind," was this it? And if it was, man, how
long do I have to wait until it comes out?
