Hey. I am off to college, so I will soon have crazy amounts of
bandwidth to do whatever I please with. So... here is my plan.
-The New and Improved IDM MP3 FTP Site.-
You may ask "improved over what?" Well, a while ago, there was a site
run on the Hotline (i think that was it.) network. Hotline was a
software client that you needed to communicate with the hotline servers.
It worked well, actually, but most people saw the needing of a special
client stupid and unneccessary. As do I. I am going to run this site via
FTP only. So noone will need new software or anything.
The old IDM MP3 archive worked like this : you upload a complete
album that was not yet on the archive, and you have unlimited leech
access. Mine will work the same way. You upload something I have not yet
put to MP3's, and you have unlimited access. I will have at least 1.5
gig's devoted to the MP3's, so there will never be a lack of things to
go around. I will also be archiving them to CD-R's, and will be able to
rotate the selection as is wanted.
So, if you are interested, mail me with a havelist, and we will talk
about what I need. This should materialize in about 2 weeks. Wish me
luck.
Here is what I DO NOT WANT mailed to me!!!
1. MP3's.
2. mail about how illegal MP3's are and how labels lose money and such
crap. I DON"T CARE. I know about the consequences of MP3's and how
little they affect companies. The site will be ran non-profit for a
reason. If you mail me about what a horrible person I am to trade MP3's,
then don't expect a response.
3. mail merely expressing interest. I am looking for HAVELISTS right
now. The site is not yet running, I don't know my IP, or anything like
that. So wait for me to mail the list again.
