Compilations like these are potential 'adverts' for getting people to hear new artists, so you'd think they'd put decent tracks on. This was my first taste of Mira Calix, and it does sound rather weak - R8 with a few Ae sounds which goes nowhere. Broadcast was ok - quite surprising stuff for Warp I think. I wish BoC would do something shocking - they're good, but never surprise me.

i think a Boards of Canada collaboration with Land of the Loops would be really neat (no joke -- somehow i think it would work out brilliantly). chris. __ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ [*<n/ff> <=rr*/a|>r] - wednesdays 7-8 pm riders of the plastic groove - fridays 9-midnight kuci 88.9fm po box 4362 irvine ca 92616 -:.:'-"-':_/'"'"\_|'\-"-':_/_|'\_|'\_/'"'_/'"'"\_.:'-".:'-"'"'_/'"'_//'"'"
