If you are in the So. California area: I have a new club in Long Beach. It is on Thursday nights from 9-2pm. It is in what used to be an underground bank vault, it big enough for about 200 people so there is lots of room to dance, it has a good sound system and is well air conditioned so it does not get hot! There is no smoking and no dress code. There is secured parking across the street from the club. It will be $5 to get in later this summer but for now it is free! YES FREE! We need to show the owners that this type of music can attract a crowd if we want to keep this great location. Unfortunately it is 21 and over. We spin Drum & Bass, Trip-Hop, Trance, Electro and other good stuff, with NO commercial junk or disco. Pine Ave, Long Beach, California sounds like a wonderful setting for a club, from where I'm writing, up in rainy North London, you lucky things! but blimey, think if they had that 'No smoking' rule at a drum'n'bass night , well any rave night here in London, nobody'd turn up! Tis brutal enuff with the bouncers friskin us all for da fun stuff but if folks were havin to hide their ciggies as well, clubland in London would come to a swift abrupt end, for sure!
