I'm suprised that Innerzone Orchestra's Programmed hasn't gained more acknowledgement as a reputable intelligent dance album. It's got the elements we all love so much. Not that the jazz theme don't parch those up just a bit, but it doesn't seem to be the only focus of the record. Hell, some of the tracks are only barely fixed on jazz. I'd say that if Plaid's Not for Threes is an experimental album, Programmed is as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I doesn't touch me as much as some of Carl Craig's earlier works, but it is indeed a very good release. One of the better releases of 99. His "More Songs Of Food And Revolutionary Art", Landcruising, 69 - Sound On Sound, and Psyche/BFC - Elements 1989-1990 are still some of my favorite IDM/Detroit techno releases of all time. Paperclip People is good also, but I like the one's mentioned above alot more. Cinematic Orchestra (J.Swincoe project) was also very good nice jazzy/trip hop release [on Ninja Tune], that didn't get much mention on IDM. Love this cd!! I heard that they are touring with Flanger (Burnt Friedman & Atom Heart) this summer. That's a show that I am really into seeing. --- Will Simmons <wdsimmo@comp.uark.edu> wrote:
