Just got a copy of the new Global Goon and all I can say is "now, THIS is
more like it!". While it doesn't make up for the unbelieveable stream of
shite that Rephlex has unleashed in the last while (S&V, Jones, Leila)
it's a really sweet li'l release. A bit o' trip-hop, a bit o' house, a
bit o' techno, and the patented lo-fi glaze in de AFX-stylee. Best thing
from the big R since the Bochum Welt & Cylob summer releases.
Of course, considering that their next planned release is an EP by
Freakwincey (who?) called "I Farted", I'm sure the streak won't continue.
Anyone get the feeling that maybe RDJ and/or Grant weren't properly potty
trained as children? All of these poop, pee and genitalia references are
getting really tired.
