I could already use one, and I'm not there yet ... (no joke) As some of you (that I've met) can attest, if I'm at an event and I'm talking to someone that's more than a foot or so away, any background music ensures that I'll be lucky to hear half of what you're saying ... it sucks ...

Already there, thanks to 6 years of banging Techno and speaker hugging ...

Werd. I have tinnitus, folks, and believe me ... it's Not Fun. Being in completely quiet places drives me silently insane ... because That Awful Ringing then takes over ... Wear 'dem plugs kids. You'll be glad you did, when yer old and decrepit like-a moi. - Greg (Who is pissed at the SoCal-Ravers who'd rather argue about going to BigTop, while meanwhile Ken Ishii slips into town unnoticed and no one says anything so I don't find out until a day later)

You sent a chill down my spine. For a few months back in 95 I was clinically deaf in my left ear (don't fly with the flu guys!). The awful thing about this "deafness" was that it was nothing of the sort - there was ringing, hissing and lots of weird distortion on what little sound got through. Very disorientating and distracting. And I was massively depressed that my budding audio engineering career was at an end. Lucky for me there was no inner-ear damage and once the blockage cleared and drum healed-over I was back to normal. A lucky escape - now I take a bottle of ephidrine-HCL with me wherever I fly.
