I just picked up the new Jega. I've only listened once, but I'm a bit disappointed. There's really only one track that stands out (Oak Hanger), the rest is good but doesn't live up to the his brilliant first EP. Does anybody else recognize the child's singing on Nausicaa? I think Jega is a fan of anime. By the way, who did the cover art? It's wonderful (I also loved the art on the sheet of paper than came with his earlier EP). Mind you, I have a bunch of photographs of power lines on my home page (taken in response to Speedy J's Public Energy no. 1), so maybe my aesthetic tastes are a bit odd. I also picked up Vibert's Big Soup. I don't like it quite as much as the "Do Unto Others" EP, it reminds me more of Plug (DRum and Bass for Papa, only slower) which I didn't like so much either. Also got mu-Ziq's My Little Beautiful. I agree that it's a return to form. Could somebody remind me what the URL is for AB5? I lost it and want to add it to my AudioLinks page (zerius.com/manny/audiolinks.html). -- Emanuel Borsboom -- Victoria B.C. I haven't heard any of his other stuff (except that which is on the Mask eps) but I liked the first track.
