-- Kool Kat mutated into Network (Network started as an offshoot but soon tookover their mainstream, just as Network later mutated into six6. Kool Kat was originally a club which set up a little label to release their kinda music. Their first 12" was I M N X T C by Denise Motto. I have the remix (KOOL TR1) but not the original mixes. Later on they released loads of classics from Model 500, Psyche, Reese & Santonio, Mike Hitman Wilson, etc. The Jack Trax albums were on a label which seemed to be called Jack Trax, though also had an "Indigo Music" logo on them. I have seven of this series of compilations, but I recken 3 thru' 5 are the best. Top notch classic Chicago House and Detroit Techno. The label also released a number of 12"s, usually with one or two tracks off the current compilations, plus remixes. I never knew what the origin of these comps was, but they were damn' good value for a house freak on a student grant back in the days when no-one knew what House was and none of the shops in my town even stocked imports.
