For whoever was asking (Aaron? I think it was you.), Talvin Singh's
"Anokha" compilation is on Mango/Island UK, liscenced from Omni, Cat#
CIDM1120 / 524 341-2. Don't think there are immediate plans for North
American release, but it strikes me as the sort of thing that the
Island-funded Quango label would pick up at some point.
And yes, it's very, very good.
(Apologies if this has already been answered, I'm subbed to the digest
version so I don't get stuff as quickly as most of you)
I also picked up Beaumont Hannant's "Notions of Tonality Vol. 2" today.
When the hell did this come out? Looks like it'd been in the shop for at
least a couple of weeks, and the copyright info says 1996, so I must've
totally missed it the week it was released. Does this mean that GPR is
finally a going concern once again? Any word on ETA for the full length
"Tones"?
