For whoever was asking (Aaron? I think it was you.), Talvin Singh's "Anokha" compilation is on Mango/Island UK, liscenced from Omni, Cat# CIDM1120 / 524 341-2. Don't think there are immediate plans for North American release, but it strikes me as the sort of thing that the Island-funded Quango label would pick up at some point. And yes, it's very, very good. (Apologies if this has already been answered, I'm subbed to the digest version so I don't get stuff as quickly as most of you) I also picked up Beaumont Hannant's "Notions of Tonality Vol. 2" today. When the hell did this come out? Looks like it'd been in the shop for at least a couple of weeks, and the copyright info says 1996, so I must've totally missed it the week it was released. Does this mean that GPR is finally a going concern once again? Any word on ETA for the full length "Tones"? Greg

Dear Greg,
quoted 1 line I also picked up Beaumont Hannant's "Notions of Tonality Vol. 2" >today.>I also picked up Beaumont Hannant's "Notions of Tonality Vol. 2" >today.
When the hell did this come out? I think February of this year. Hasn't been long. The sleeve says 96, but that's when they planned to release it (and most likely when the sleeves were printed). That was EARLY '96, mind you...

ETA for the full length "Tones"? Not really, but I expect that it would be soon, since these Notions releases both have remixed tracks from that album, AND since GPR has probably got a lot of things piling up that they need to release (now that they can, finally!). Did you get the regular Notions 2 or the limited 12"? Personally I think the limited 12" has the better music... Talk to you soon, ARM/Ren

Have you got a tracklisting for both releases to compare? How limited is the 12" ? Is there a standard issue 12" is as well? :) Questions questions questions...... onnow: remit recaps (astralwerks) Lame Thread Prevention in Effect: Aaron Michelson --------------------------------------------------------------------- aw-teck'r (autechre) "Everything you Know is Wrong" For reviews, interviews, art & trash http://www.on-it.net/~aaron/ aaron@defiant.on-it.net
