For all of you ART-y types out there, the third volume in the Objets series is out, as i'm sure you know, however, being an ART-y type myself, I just wanted to say a few brief words about the CD. It's a collection of Op-ART stuff previously released, and unlike the first two volumes in this series. It focuses more on beats and rhythms for the dancefloor, as opposed to the dreamy synthtronic melodies & tribal percussive workouts we're used to. The tracks that really stand out are 'nova', 'M42', and 'flights of fantasy'. Needless to say--i'm passing on this one for the moment. Yes, it is on CD-only right now, and has a blue cover. You're better off listening to the CHECKONE CD mixed by Kirk Detroitio. It's a bit more to my liking, as it features some stuff from Herbie Hancock & a couple of other "old cats"--or get Detroit Escalator Co.(Soundtrack 313) Derek ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Derek R.
