There were a lot of rumours around, about a month ago that Aphex had a lot to do with Spymania, its not surprising really considering Squarepushers major involvement with rePhlex. I didnt know about Luke Viberts involvement, but thats not too surprising either if you think about it!!
quoted 1 line I reckon Tight-Pack has got to be Aphex and Tom.Jenks!!!!!!> I reckon Tight-Pack has got to be Aphex and Tom.Jenks!!!!!!
Tightpac is in fact Tommy.J and Christian Vogel !!!! The label is supposedly based in Brighton, maybe its run by Christian?? Theres definately a strong South Coast connection (i.e. Ian O'Brien) if you notice on the back of the AVIT 12" the reply address is for No Future in Brighton, im pretty sure this is Vogel and Matt Consume. Mike Paradinas is also rumoured to have a track on the next record (SPY-05). Ive tried Mailing Spymania about this but they never reply!! Anyone else know anything about this? Art. Arab

You know when I listened to this record I immediately figured "oh, like that's their real names, right." I suspected the usual culprits. I also thought vaguely that in one of the descriptions (Si Begg ?) there was an extraneous statement as to what town the person was from. The town kind of rhymed with Neil Landstrumm. hmmmm I thought, he's capable of it, but would he do it ? Neil was going off the other week about how annoyed he was with the British press' all-or-nothing hype to all things jungle and trashing all things not jungle. This kind of activity is nothing new for the brit-press, a very evil monster I think. Individual artists don't get appropriate critique because the press wants only to deal with the whole genre. artists are merely an affect of the genre, a facet to show what the genre as a whole is doing. this is bullshit and not how artists work at all, though at this point I suppose artists do artificially follow that sense of development. 10-4 over and out good buddy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chris Sattinger reprogramming our reality through disco new records coming on : Synewave(jan), Subvoice(feb), Sativae(?)
