I was thinking about showing a film called "Atomic Cafe" to my students next semester. When I started previewing it I discovered that this is where Coldcut got almost 100% of their samples for their song "Atomic Moog 2000". Great track BTW! The one I especially find disturbing is the one that says: "When the clouds opened up over the target. The target was there -- pretty as a picture. I made the run, let the bomb go, that was my biggest thrill!!!" -- Captain Teele of the US Air Force when asked about the atomic bombing On now: "Aki-Wasan" on _Buddhist Drums, Bells, and Chants_ This might make some interesting sampling... Peace, Pedro Cevallos -- "When they took the 4th amendment, I was quiet because I didn't deal drugs. When they took the 6th amendment, I was quiet because I was innocent. When they took the 2nd amendment, I was quiet because I didn't own a gun. Now they've taken the 1st amendment, and I can say nothing about it." -- Anonymous -- URL: http://www.fiu.edu/~pceval01 Finger cevallos@cat.net for PGP key.
