not an expert myself, but i've been told that the more information is pressed into a record the quieter it is. and i think at 33 more info can be stored, but i think it depends more on that than the actual rpm. i also understand that 7" are by nature quieter as well. of course, i'm just spitting out what was told to me, so i don't really understand why this is the case or even if it is the case. ciao, and Graham, if you should run into a fella called Capper, giv'im our love.ta.
