Well first of all, it was nearly a year ago that Jim Nash died. I wrote about it in my column at the time, saw it mentioned in other music press, and there was a thread about it on rec.music.industrial. Dunno if it was mentioned here or not as that was during the few months that I was off the list. As for how Nash's death affected Wax Trax in general, and the deal with Warp in particular, I'd be inclined to say "not much". I haven't really observed a lot of differences in the way WT is doing business. They're still putting out crap like KMFDM and Sister Machine Gun, and there've been a couple of Warp items licensed for North America, like B12 and Autechre. Of course, I suppose TVT could choose to shut down WT and absorb their catalogue at any time (lord knows they've done a fine job butchering the back-catalogue by deleting some really fine titles, and screwing over artists like Coil in the process), but for now, it appears to be business as usual.
