This is a very beautiful record...if you need a category, put it in the 'ambient dub trip-hop' bin. Its 12 long songs of serene and melodic stuff...very head-nodding. ...and that's a GOOD thing. A lot of it has an 'epic' sound to it...hard to explain except to compare it to some of the massive attack stuff like 'unfinished symphony', or some of the stuff on Pork, but not cornball epic cheesey like this Robert Miles dude. ...but to give it that *edge*, it also has offbeat rhythms, some really quiet moments, alien sounds, and some technohouse. This may be near the top of my list for 1996. 1. smallbones 2. gorgon 3. dark blue 4. mass 5. simonian 6. cut me free 7. she's machine 8. lower 9. metal (the rest of the names are covered with a damn sticker :) 9.8/10 Its all done by 'darking/mann'. SOP006CD Emissions Audio Output. On Now: guess what? On Next: S.E.T.I the geometry of night (more t-h/a-d) On Next at the Gym: Funki Porcini first album jim
