Will be traveling to Europe gathering footage and
interviews for documentary on music and dance in the
present and future
When ?
Departing on March 1, 2000 and returning on August 24,
2000
Why ?
To furnish a collective historical record, visual
testimony, and cultural memory of popular and
underground culture as it stands in the year 2000 and
act as an indicator of things to come
To candidly use the power of film to expand awareness
of the public, combating the negative stereotyping
found in mainstream media culture
Compare and contrast American “hip-hop”and
“electronic music”culture to European “hip-hop”and
“electronic music”culture
To evaluate the significance of dance in the whole
sense: composed and characterized by youth, music,
language, tradition, multiculturalism, race relations, the
arts, entertainment, adornment, commercialism and
geography
Where ?
The gathering of images will take place in the following
countries:

Czechoslovakia
Hungary
Switzerland

In the modern world dancing is known mainly as a
profession, an amusement, and an art. But at all times
dancing has been customary and has decisively
influenced the socializing and moralizing of the species .
the ultimate significance of dancing lies in the fact that it
manifests a general rhythm which marks not only life , but
the entire universe as well.
