Goa is a former enclave of Portugal on the upper West Coast of India. In the mid 80's the Neo-Hippie Beach Parties started to play techno after a drift through germany's post-pychedelia by the likes of Can, Amon Duel, Neu etc. Goa Gil, who since the late 60's DJed for the lost & found there, thinks Front 242 is the best thing next to weed. He just returned from a European Tour backing up Peter Ziegelmeier's "Kode IV" (on KK, also the home of Psychic Warriors of Gaia, and most recently Test Department). Peter makes his home in S.F.
