Either its because I'm Canadian, or just a passive listener, but I feel the need to apologize. After listening to this new Slazenger disc, I'm getting even more hooked. I love it! Fantastic, (minus a few tracks) the general impression is good. However, I truely understand why several objections to my global praising would make sense. Paradinas' material is definately an acquired taste... I definitely have it, many people find his music boring and undesirable. Most of the time I rarely venture into "happy" music, as I prefer the more searching and subliminal soundscapes.. music that don't quite have that ear-to-ear grin effect on the listener. But, I do really like this new disc. I suppose it was a good awakening to the actual diversity that exists in such a focused conference. IDM is truely the worlds most diverse underground culture (dare I say the 'u' word again, however, the "alternative" would be deadly! :-) ) So, with shame and disgrace, I withdraw my earlier statement regarding Slazenger's new album. I don't deny loving it, but Paradinas' fans will still only be a small and selected few. Yours in the continuing respect for individual talent.... Aaron amichel@io.org Again... I felt the need to type this online. No [skull] signature here.
