recent purchases i've loved to death... x-103 - Atlantis ----------------- Jeff Mills and Mad Mike take you on a trip underwater and into the past. This is lately my favorite disc for living/driving/reading to -- it's hard as nails but manages to be beautiful and alluring at the same time. It's piled to the gills with vintage analogue gear and a strange "70's english art rock filtered through Detroit techno" feel. Highly recommended. stereolab - Transient Random Noise Bursts With Announcements ----------------- OK, so it's not dance music, but I can't think of anything else that's spent as much time on my stereo lately. Not a bum cut to be found. plastikman - sheet one -------------- Richie Hawtin doing what I can only describe as "Martian Acid" -- way more "out there" than his Fuse material (perhaps those who find Fuse lacking in the innovation department might find this more to their liking). --- | Dave Walker, Detroit Art Services (DAS) | | | | marmoset@msen.com I had a dream, I had an awesome dream |
