VIBERT ON REPHLEX Luke Vibert returns to the Rephlex label as Amen Andrews with an impressive 5 12inch set series of old skool jungle. The two first in the series, Amen Andrews Volume 1 & 2, will be released on 7 and 28 July respectively, with the remaining EPs appearing later on this year. Pretty much taking off from where his excellent 1997 Plug album Drum?n?Bass For Papa left off, the Amen Andrews series is set to set the braindance-floors alight with heavy bass lines and hardcore beats. AMEN ANDREWS -?Amen Andrews vol.1 [REPHLEX] Many moons ago, luke vibert managed to sum up all that was going on with uk jungle at the time with his seminal 'plug' series of 12"'s. these flirted with all the stylistic elements that reinforced how creative uk jungle had become; ragga samples, sub-bass, whip-crack percussion and sampled strings. well, with this blindlingly contemporary release, he's done it again. the axis of uk garage and jungle are explored with high-speed glee over 4 tracks. the amen break twisted, contorted and rubbed in dsp dirt to the point of implosion. suitably fast, relentless and well handy in a club. for want of a better word: rinsin'. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
