Hehe, classic. This is the first time in 3 years we've posted a personal (non-event) e-mail to this list, however, it seems we are being spoken for. Thus, here is a little of our OWN PR in response to the recent threads about our 'post NAMM' show. Talk all the poop you want folks, we don't feel disrespected at all. It's great that there are differing views of our events, that comes with the territory. We think it's awesome that our events are being talked about AT ALL, and can only appreciate the fact that people are willing to attend them. 'The experimental liquor museum' is a housing for electronic art and music that we think (in our OPINION) is 'pushing the envelope' in it's genre, regardless of it's style: Electro, House, Techno, IDM, graphic art etc. We have a deep love of DANCE and always try to incorporate that as an aspect in our music, DJ sets and shows. To be entirely cliche, we'd like to put the 'D' in 'IDM', however we certainly don't want to be typecast as any ONE genre. We believe DANCE music can be experimental, and 'experimental' has many forms. If you're having trouble understanding how we are 'experimental', just think of us as 'e.l.m.' instead :) We truly respect all opinions and realize that they will always be wide ranging. So no worries people, it's all love. We just hope to bring great art and music to those who dig it, and perhaps change some minds about what both 'Experimental' and 'Dance' can be. For the record: The post NAMM show was one of our favorites. The vibe was awesome and the music perfectly eclectic. The real goal was to showcase both Native Instruments and Ableton Live audio software, and to show some love to the hard working people who've devoted their lives to programming and producing these virtual instruments used to make so much of the music we hear today. Hat's off to 'em! It's also important to note that 'p a x' is the integral element that drives our events. Without p a x we'd still be doin' shows in our basement, hehe. Cheers to you all, and thanks so much to all that have supported! take care, e.l.m. / p a x the experimental liquor museum : www.elmconceptions.com : time equals art --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
