I was just listening to that new Autechre track on the Warp pool party
sampler mix. This track at least doesn't sound like that much of a departure
from some of their more recent stuff.
Sounds to me like a combination of something from LP5 and Gantz Graf and
Confield. All clicky shuffly rhythm, no bass line, no melody. I can't say
that it sounds all that promising.
I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed that the rumors of them going
'back to the old days' when they used to use melody and harmony are true.
The rest of the mix is OK, certainly nothing mindblowing or even too
impressive, but nice.
