I've been listening to the Squaremeter releases lately- that's Panacea's minimal but still pretty harsh noise blip ambient project with releases on Hands and at least one release on Hymen which is a collaboration with Xingu Hill. Panacea's "Brasilia" album on Caipirinha is also very much in this same sound. Really nice use of reverb/space and also low end vs high end. One that will no doubt show up on my top 10 list- La Procesion de la Sangre by Ah Cama-Sotz also on Hands. Is there some established term for sophisticated industrial (which would include artists like Skinny Puppy and Gridlock and Somatic Responses)? Some ambient blipiness, more than a handful of thumpy poundy shakers, nothing dancfloor friendly.
