hi there everyboy,
i am new to this list and want to say hello to all of you.
i am into electronica and what is often referred to as idm for a couple of
years now, my favourite artists being autechre, richard devine, phoenicia,
alva noto, mu-ziq, andreas tilliander and many more.
i also have a strong interest in so called modern e music, or
"electroacoustic" music, loving to listening to people such as edgar
varese, pierre schaeffer, morton subotnick, paul lansky, et.al.
but apart from these favourites i am into a very wide range of music,
ranging from electronic music to hihop to rock music to jazz and ethnic
music from all over the world
yes, i also do music myself, which i would put somewhere near the idm
field, although i have to say that especially the "dance" is not thing i've
been focussing too much on. that is why i rather tend to call my music
"electronic listening music".
so far i have released 2 tracks on compilations and 2 remixes, with another
track coming up on a fine compilation on www.wanrecords.net, due november.
i have also had the opportunity to score 2 short films, as well as to
produce programms and signations for ORF kunstradio.

i also write for a small austrian music magazine called skug (www.skug.at
- mostly german), doing reviews and articles/interviews. in the past i had
the opportunity to speak to people such as the herbaliser, dj vadim, earl
zinger, richard devine, luke vibert, hans platzgumer amongst others.
why i joined this list?
mainly to learn more of what is going on in the world of interesting music.
read other peoples opinions, in short, to broaden my horizon.
also to get in touch with likeminded people all over the world to exchange
opinions, ideas, wisdom, music, art, etc.
to maybe organise "gig-exchanges" or other co-promotion actions with other
musicians.
i am also subscribed to the idm-making, so don't be afraid that i will spam
you with topics belonging there. much of the above said, i will rather
organise via the idm-making list, but i hope to make some interesting
contacts here as well.
