Whatever you do, DO NOT miss this show. I caught Bola in Montreal at MUTEK
and was blown away (and expected to be disappointed). He even played that
track off the first Skam 12", what is it, "Your Head Is a Balloon" or
something? The beautiful arpeggiated one...
Visuals were great, though I'm leery of the MTV-ification effect, whereby we
need visuals to appreciate the music. Still, they were a lovely complement,
whatever my philosophy of club visuals is.
Extra props to the Record Camp crew who so generously represented my gigs in
NYC, and of course thanks for the super-kind words they had. Open Air is a
great space, so by all means, don't miss the gig!
