I know a lot of musicians in the scene, and they almost all
hate this list for it's narrow-minded views.
Let's broaden our view a bit...
This is the IDM list. It's supposed to be single-minded. It's an
internet list, not real-life. Personally, I don't think I'd be
subscribed to this list if it was the "people talking about everything
including electronic music."
That thread doesn't really make sense here. It's may be an
interesting discussion, but it really is way OT and OT topics are
supposed to go off-list.
I don't listen to a majority of the stuff on this list, but I do
appreciate that it belongs here. There are a ton of albums that I love
that don't get talked about here and I don't bring them up (some are
even on Warp !!). I really don't resent this list for that. That would
be just silly. Tell those scenesters to relax a bit, it's a nerdy
internet list. ; )
