I just bought an Extigy and so far I'm really impressed with it. Sound quality seems great. As for simplicity, what could be easier? I plug it into the laptop. That's it. Plus it's cheap. People have complained about latency with USB gear, but I haven't had any issues yet. As a starter device, it seems pretty idea. Cheers Philip

i'd like to buy a soundcard for my laptop, i have a compaq armada e500 and it only has the soundcard which i got with it and it's no good. so does anyone have Sound Blaster Extigy? does it work fine? i make pure and simple idm music so that's what i would want from my sound and soundcard... to be simple, and sound quality is not that important to me, as the funcionality and simplicity... also, when i DJ i'd like to work with mp3 (mixing them) so does anyone have some expirience with that... using one soundcard as a "monitor" (headphones out) and one to play out your funky music :-) to me Extigy seems most user friendly and most "you-just-plug-it-in-and-it-works-beautifuly" which is important to me... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
