. (dot) is the moniker of young British artist Ben Hatchelt. After his
appearance in ep1 motion re(e)leases series, he's back with his first
complete work: everythings exactly how you left it ep, a seven-track ep,
24 minutes of atmospheres and sublime textures, subtle rhythm patterns and
warm melodies, developed tones of intimacy and coziness. A work that
doesnt avoid the harshness of electronica textures but also grabs you with
its passionate romanticism which you can't escape.Dot (aka Ben Hatchelt)
builds a personal world, partly sad and melancholic, but touching in its
honesty and emotional commitment. Baladamenti in the suburb, a strong
sense of the composition of the themes always looking for the beauty in the
painful experience of life. Definetely romantic, no doubt.
