This is an interesting analogy... BUT, what happens if a painting IS a fractal? I was looking through the new issue of Parkett at St. Marks [oh, if only I could afford to BUY it!], and I stumbled upon some images of Matthew Ritchie's paitings. I've read about his work before, but only recently saw it. Imagine shattered explosions of bright colors mixed with mathmatical equations... His work is absolutely remarkable! I think it wonderfully represents a visual counterpart to albums like CONFIELD, LIPSWITCH, etc. Check out his work if you get the chance!! Best Matt... _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
