I know I've mentioned Neumu (www.neumu.net) on here a time or two -- newish
online music magazine with coverage ranging from electronic music to indie
rock to metal to country... you get the idea.
I'm writing a weekly column there now, called Needle Drops. It posts every
Friday, and it's my wrap-up of selected new-release information, short
reviews, and assorted hoo-ha. To give you an idea of the range it will
cover, the first week included text on Aesop Rock, Up, Bustle and Out,
Techno Animal, DJ Spooky, Fällt, and 12K. This week's column which you can
see at
http://www.neumu.net/needledrops/, features Victor Davies, AMM,
Cologne improv label GROB, Roots Manuva, and the dirt on a New Order remix
contest. (In other words, it's all over the friggin' place.)
This coming Friday will cover Or Some Computer Music 2, Schlammpeitziger,
and who knows what else.
And if I haven't yet convinced you that Neumu is as this-listy as you,
recent reviews on the site (from myself and others) include Bjork,
Squarepusher, Oval, Prefuse 73, Boozoo Bajoo, Gorillaz, Tujiko Noriko,
Clouddead, and more.
Cheers
Philip
