I wouldn't say that it's a recent thing - Aphex has being playing that stuff for years, and u-Ziq's Hard Love is a good few years old (not Hardcore Techno as such, but definatly getting there). Anyway, I love a bit of it now and again, but too much really does my head in - perhaps I'm getting too old. When the Rephlex gang played Belfast last year Dave Clarke was also playing in the same building, so I took a dander down to see him, but after listening to the almost gabber type stuff Richard James was playing it just sounded really dull in comparison.
