dosc's actually based out of san diego (i think), and if i knew he was there, i'd have been there at 8 :P the guy is grand stuff, really. there was a post i was lucky enough to catch a while ago about him playing a set on groovetech during jerry abstract's show.. quite good stuff. all interested parties should check out his site.. there's a link off of www.imputor.com to his site with mp3s and all manner of goodies.. his track w/ halicon (another imputor? fellow) as liquid jr. is very much a favorite of mine, and has been since i found it. out of curosity, did dosc just come along with jerry abstract? some have been talking about the lack of musical discussion/reccomendation lately on the list. there's one that's worth checking out :) chris: thanks for putting this whole thing on.. i'm just a bit miffed that there wasn't much of a validation of a scene up around here at phoenixfest. i know there are more folk out there. but, for those of us that were there, spot on. my friend jeff and i showed up while not breathing was having that setup sputter. it was so much a validation to hear marumari being played on such a large sound system. i really hope the lack of a showing at phoenixfest doesn't hurt chances of other nights like the one put on on sunday, because i'd hate to see something like that die around here.
