Maybe the reason you can't get into Time Tourist is because it really isn't that good. I bought it about two years ago, so it was (slightly) less dated then, but still wasn't very good. Time Tourist came out in 96, and look at the other recordings on Warp from that era. Tri Repetae is the one that comes to mind...it's light years beyond Time Tourist. I might fathom a guess that it was dated before it came out. :) (At least one of the tracks -- "Scriptures" -- came out more than two years prior on AI2). The first track is good though. However, I really like Electro-Soma. But then again, I enjoy listening to the Artificial Intelligence series a lot; I think it's great hacking music, and it's so much more melodic than a lot of today's stuff. Tracks like "Obsessed" are just awesome because of the cool, smooth melody. Another thing that occured to me is how much different Autechre circa 1993 sounds compared to now. Listen to "Bike," then listen to something from Confield. You'd swear it was two different artists. forcasa __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
