[idm] mp3 burning question . . .

Unashamed, I've downloaded some mp3's from napster in the past few days with the intent of putting together some mix CD's. After they are finished downloading, a few tracks PLAY just fine on my computer, but when I attempt to burn the tracks onto CD it only picks up 4 seconds worth. I've only had this happen with a few mp3's and it happens over and over again with the same songs. Is there a special way of encoding that prevents burning or is the mp3 somehow damaged (even though it plays just fine . . .)? I know I can just stream it to a .wav file and burn it that way, but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the situation. Thanks, dmt. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
