Oh my goodness; Mouse on Mars have gone.... industrial two-step garage? At
least, that's a first impression from upon sliding in "Actionist Respoke,"
the first track on the new ep. Imagine Aphex Twin's "Windowlicker" crossed
with Wookie's fractured breaks and hoover-bass, processed through Richard
Devine's caustic granularity. Sounds farfetched, I know, but I'm not
kidding. Really. And after catching my breath, I'm astonished to note that
it's actually pretty damned fun - this just might be the summer anthem for
backseat subwoofers.
