Subject: Re: [idm] In my living room Playlist 02/10/01
: I find playlists less annoying than "For Sale Lists". If I want to buy
: something I'll look for it on my own. The whole point of advertising it on
: this list is to try and drive more and higher bids
this is a sad fact. But now that whitezone is gone
I do like FS lists (tho they should say "email me private" for the list)
Likewise with the Playlists IMO.
: Sadly, playlists often express more content than most posts.
this is true, I agree.
:
: The playlists are ultimately an expression of what the individual likes.
The
: philosophy of this list has been to talk about electronic music we like,
so
: it doesn't seem out of place to chart music of this nature.
OK, but everyday in the digest there is like 5 playlists, enuff man.
As someone
: pointed out, it's not likely most of these people are making money from
: their shows.
what does money have to do with how it irritates me...
I'm not talking about money.
: Their playlists could be a good source to find out about other artists.
Likewise are For Sale lists. Over the years I've come across releases I
wished I'd bought back in the day only hope of getting it is the chance of a
FS list, cuz those things are outta print. Example: Afx mix of Falling Free.
:
: I know you are pretty much happy just buying Atom Heart, so i can see why
: you wouldn't care as much for non-Atom Heart charts. If Atom Heart posted
a
: weekly chart on IDM, I doubt you would complain
my love his music has nothing to do with my position on Playlists.
I see your point. Playlists show to others on the list that radio person's
taste and info on the music. Wouldn't be better to just listen to the
friggin show??? No. OK, fine
every week, I'm gonna post every stupid tune I listened to the nite before
cuz I know you all really give a shit...
on the way to work, my playlist in the car was:
Link - Antacid (warp)
bye,
