The ethereal/goth label Projekt (www.projekt.com) has put out two Xmas comps extitled "Excelsis". I have the first, and there is a fair bit of cheese, but some really nice tracks as well. Lovesliescrushing do a great, My Bloody Valentine-ish version of "Jingle Bells", and the Love Spirals Downwards version of "Welcome Christmas" (the Whoville song from "The Grinch") is lovely. The holiday-themed mini album by Low that you mention - entitled simply "Christmas" - has been reissued, just in time to capitalize on the inclusion of their awesome version of "The Little Drummer Boy" in one of the current GAP commercials. Also includes the most depressing version of "Blue Christmas" ever. :) Greg -- Greg Clow - greg@stainedproductions.com - greg@feedbackmonitor.com concert & event promotions - http://www.stainedproductions.com electronic music radio/reviews/interviews - http://www.feedbackmonitor.com 158 Close Ave. 2nd Floor - Toronto, Ontario M6K 2V5 - Canada --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
