really? i got quite the opposite impression from DK at the minneapolis
show. he played some odd tracks mostly hip-hop and mostly oldsk00l, but it
seemed just like odd finds, rather than odd mixes. sometimes he'd put a
record on and then disappear, apparently either digging through some crates
or sitting behind the tables. the songs he played were essentially
crossfaded together, without any interesting flow between them. And i know
he wasn't doing much cos i had a good view of him and his tables, and they
were just spinning while he did non-dj things.
but then again, i'm spoiled by seeing and hearing about dj's who actually
touch the records while they're playing.
