As a member of the "army of the 23 monkeys" I feel that I should respond
to this. We are releasing our first EP on Circumvent instead of MMR. The
reason for this is fairly simple but we cannot discuss it at this time.
I know that this is a weird thing to say and a little schizophrenic but we
are seeking help :)
It is always a sad thing when one of your own leaves the roost. The
person<s> behind circumvent were once part of us but as they say, creative
differences have taken their course. I do not necessarily agree with
their viewpoint but I support the music and am helping wherever I can.
Because of that lets talk about the music.
There isn't much I can say about our EP since I was part of it. But
listen to it for the ENE, Photon Wallet and Kusser remixes. Those are
worth the price of admission. Besides the whole thing clocks in around 60
min.
The other release is Burning Rome - Soundtrack for "Chaos Theory In
Practice" This one I can talk about. First of all I am very happy to see
this coming out as we (MMR) are putting out a Burning Rome CD in Jan 2001.
Needless to say we are fans. This in a nutshell is a soundtrack to a
video installation that was done by Sofia Bogdanovich in 1996.
Foundations are being laid here for his later works. It is abstract, a
little techno and adventurous.
Anyhow, I wish circumvent the best and I hope that people show them the
same interest that MMR has received.
