They should have included Dig Dug, but that's a quibble. I dug this video to the most. What it brought to mind is the essential nostalgia to electronic music -- just as rock acts channel the beach boys and the beatles, IDM artists seem hugely influenced by video game music. And let's not forget the Star Wars nostalgia exhibited by the whole Clear Records posse... And it's an odd thing too -- what made video game music distinctive is the primitive sound circuitry and software they had to work with back in the day. If they could have made it sound like e.g. Toto they would have.
