ha ha NO WAY! i'd been banging "mixed up" in my car for weeks and i saw a
shitload patrick cowley in clearance at Sound Exchange. some NRG/disco dj
had just dumped off a bunch of records i guess. thing is, i didn't know
that cowley was on "mixed up" (just found out now in fact) but i decided to
listen to an LP of his and then bought it.
it's hilarious. it's called "Mind Warp" and it features such hits as
"tech-no-logical world" and "mutant man". it's all pretty much the same
business, but good if you like that freshly-Moroderfied sound. if this
ain't proto-techno (produced in SF in 1981) then shoot.
