I have following CD which exactly fits your description of chilly abmient:
Patchwork "Odeon" Spirit Zone 1998.
Great slow electronica. If you take one track and try to listen to it in the
middle you will hear just a ambient with slow beats - nothing particular.
But if you listen it from the beginning - already on the second track you'll
know that it is one of the best chillout discs ever issued - it stands from
all other discs exactly with this feeling of completeness of the musical
soundscape (just mere words - I'm bad at reviewing)
any way it is a great disc and worth buying by any fans of ambient idm (slow
electronica).
