actually, i would much prefer a Feed Me Weird Things LVI
quoted 1 line now, why is this?>now, why is this?
it boils down to the fact that we are monkeys with brain chemistry that
responds with positive feedback to the things that taste good: sugar, salt,
fat, crack cocaine, Autechre's Tri Repetae days, etc. we want more and we
want it in metric tonnes.
mr. ruoho, did you ever voluntarily eat the finnish equivalent of brussel
sprouts when you were a three-year old? or did you skip directly to the ice
cream? and please answer truthfully.
monkeys are inherently conservative when times are good. this is why
american monkeys are propping up a dumb, corrupted monkey like bush as a
legitimate candidate for president, for example. idm-listening monkeys,
while with tastes and attitudes that are similar to my own, are not so
different.
breaking free of a fear of change is a tough proposition for all monkeys
when doing so can leave a sour taste in your mouth. it takes a brave and
adventurous heart to make that jump; when squarepusher puts out uneven
oddities like 'selection sixteen', monkeys start pining for the old days.
not so much for a Hard Normal Daddy XI, but for a Hard Normal Mommy or a
Hard Normal Distant Cousin.
