Phthalocyanine is an experimenal eletronica/noise
produced based out of LA. He has had tracks/mixes
out on a variety of labels including Plug Research,
A-Musik, WMO, Mille Plateaux, as well as his own
Phthalo label. I like to think of his music as beautifully
organized chaos but within wrought with disjointed
breakbeats, shrill noises, and sparse haunting
melodies. Phthalocyanine might not be very
accessible to those who arent into more experimental
sounds but for those with an open ear, his releases
are very rewarding.
The cd in question is named Navy Warships and
it was the first released on Phthalocyanine's own
Phthalo record label.
