I don't understand what anyone could find wrong with the mixing on Stacey Pullen's DJ kicks cd...in fact, the cd was admittedly perfected/enhanced with studio effects. The Carl Craig cd isn't really beatmixed...its simply segued together. The tracks rock, indeed, but I can definitely see people having issues with Craig's DJing on that cd. In my opinion, though, if one is going to pan any of the DJ Kicks CDs, my choice would be the first one: CJ Bolland's mix. Now, that cd is not mixed well, at all...Bolland definitely pulls off some shaky mixes that are really apparent because most of the stuff he played was pretty hard techno....its much more difficult to get away with shaky mixing when yer playin' the harder stuff. Another thing, I understand that Stacey Pullen has plans on doing another mix cd sometime next year hopefully, once he finishes all the work on his album for Virgin/Science/Astralwerks. Anyone else have any info on this? bc
