Codec 'Fragments' is the debut CD on the newly formed new england label
component records. 'Fragments' is a mix of cut-up beats, moody synthetics
and atmospheric melodies. The eleven tracks on 'fragments' would loosly fit
in the Drum & Bass category but expand far beyond those constraints. Synths
are given equal priority against the breaks(a rariety amongst junglists).
Drawing on influences ranging from early 80's industrial and synth pop right
up to current Drum & Bass and IDM, 'Fragments' produces tracks that bombard
the listener at both an emotional and viceral level. All tracks on this
release were written and produced by Rob Galbraith(1/2 of the electronica
act- LogiQ). Fans of Photek, T-Power, and Panacea will not be disappointed
